Sarcasm

Thing with this noun is that, it makes the sarcastic people feel damn special (only in their little heads). Don’t you worry dear readers, it is not a rant from a victim of rude sarcasm, but it is from a person who really thinks that she has got all of it in her head too. Wink-wink. So before we go any ahead in this conversation, I just want to clarify that I love Mathew Perry, especially his character Chandler in F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

So, where were we.. Oh yes, the sweet feeling of being sarcastic. Ah!! The people who know what I mean here, are a lucky bunch who've been gifted with this talent. A talent which enable them to not only understand sarcasm, but also know what to say and how to say it (almost every time). I would really like to point out few things that we ‘the sarcastic people’ do think and don’t think:

Do think:
  • ·        ‘Oh, I am so damn funny that I might die even before saying my joke’.
  • ·         Trust me you readers, we tell jokes to ourselves much more times than you think we do. If you ever catch any of us rolling on floor by ourselves, do conclude that can only be because of our own humor.
  • ·         ‘Wow! That was a good line’; (after some time passes); ‘Oh I could have said this, it would have been even better’.
  • ·         ‘I bet they all love me, and are expecting more jokes from me’.
  • ·         And most common of all these, ‘In your face!!!’ This is the thought mostly when we are sharp in front of people we don’t really like.

Don’t Think: (but I guess we should)
  • ·         Was that rude?
  • ·         Did he/she get hurt because of my jokes?
  • ·         Should I say it? (we never really give it any time to process through, before it gets out of our mouth)

All in all, we are not bad people deep down inside, we just have this compulsive disorder to make fun of people. And thankfully, our friends understand it.

Recently I have had encountered, few human being who do not really get when and why is the sarcasm being used. I do not really get this category of people; I don’t have anything to say to you. Clearly, we don’t have anything in common, and by anything I mean brain; and by common I mean you are missing it. Duh!

PS: Trust us, mostly we are mellowing it down for you people, in our mind we are ruder. Oh! And that is a word. :D

PS 2: There is a reason why I did not use any other word for Sarcasm, others sound a little too harsh. And (you know it) we are not bad people. We just believe in freedom to speech a little more than others do. ;)
